Responsible

Forests have to be exploited in a sustainable manner. Only this will guarantee their continued existence. The trees are not our only concern. We also care about the people and animals who depend on the forest. Arie van den Berg explains: 'I have gained plenty of knowledge about the trade in sustainable hardwood in the last company I worked for. We were not only focused on the destination of the wood, but also on its origin. Therefore, we strived to only purchase hardwood from sustainably managed forests. It became our mission and we turned it into a policy!'
This mission has been continued in this new company. We want to be good shepherds of the earth. We feel responsible for the world we live in. More than 143 million hectares of forests all over the world are now FSC-certified. But we still have a long way to go. And Van den Berg Hardhout wants to contribute to this development.
